Flights Of Fancy

Women and Their Work is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting female artists throughout Texas. Flights of Fancy is one of many creative fundraising events that showcases contemporary and visual art. Since its inception in 1978, Women and Their work have helped over 1,900 artists expand their reach through a variety of unique exhibitions. Their commitment to enhancing the cultural community is truly inspiring.

I was introduced to this opportunity by Danneel Ackles talented actress, fellow fashionista, and beautiful friend. We had a blast modeling these beautiful looks alongside Christinah Rose McGarrigle who is a performance artist and member of the band Golden Dawn Arkestra. The styling for this shoot evoked imagery of an elegant winged fantasy. The elaborate headpieces were created by Margaux Fly a local costume designer. The photos were captured by Alexandra Valenti a well-known photographer and art director whose work spans the east and west coast. Sadly this event was postponed due to the pandemic but many sponsors donated to support the continuing efforts of this extraordinary nonprofit.
